A new global workplace style with an emphasis on agility and technology-friendly environments is set to be rolled out following the completion of a new office for HSBC Middle East at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). To achieve their vision, the international banking giant chose Optima partitioning and glazing solutions for the fit-out, with the company’s products seamlessly and elegantly delivering on quality, service and robust design.

Located on level 1 of Gate Village 8, the new office sees staff relocated from offices on Emaar Square into a 13,000 square foot workplace which encourages a more collaborative style of working. Central to the layout of the interior spaces by architect AAID is a design which promotes agility and creates multiple settings in the working environment.
Optima partitions were used to strike the right balance between open plan and break-out areas, and quiet spaces – such as enclosed offices, meeting and strategy rooms – thus providing privacy without compromising an agile working agenda. Offering exceptional acoustic performance, a range of single and double glazed screens including Revolution 100 in a custom finish and black tinted glass, helped create secure areas which can be used for sensitive or confidential discussions.
With agile working fast becoming the norm for global organisations such as HSBC, Optima’s glass partitioning systems have helped to create an environment which fosters collaboration and communication whilst giving employees the freedom and flexibility to work in different areas of an office.
Commenting on the project Phillip Luxon, Optima’s Business Development Manager said: “Having successfully delivered a number of exemplary projects for HSBC in the UAE region, we are looking forward to rolling out this workplate template and working with them on the next project, their new 14 storey headquarters.”
