At Optima, we are wholly committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all of our employees. At the same time, being a product design, manufacture and installation company, we completely recognise our responsibility towards other people who may be affected by our activities.
As part of our health and safety policy, we ensure that the necessary steps and processes are in place to guarantee that our statutory duties are met and exceeded.
As part of this, every one of our employees receives the necessary training and information to enable them to safely perform their daily activities. We also work hard to make certain that all subcontractors employed under Optima’s operations, competently manage the health and safety of all staff involved on site, in addition to providing requisite levels of information, instruction, training and supervision.
Here at Optima, we are continually reviewing, improving and developing our performance in all areas. As a result, our unrivalled dedication and continued effort in the development of our health and safety management has been recognised.
We are extremely proud to have been accredited with the highly coveted Gold Health and Safety Award in both 2015 and 2016, as awarded by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
We are proud to be a reputable company with exceptional products, offering an unrivalled service. For us, quality is about continually providing our clients with extremely high levels of expert designs, quality products, flawless installations and thorough aftercare solutions that exceed expectations.
Our dedication to delivering quality has set us aside from our competitors; shown through high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat business and continual new referrals. Accordingly, for Optima, quality has become a motivator for business success and our commitment to guaranteeing this industry-leading quality service runs through all that we do here at Optima. Each and every Optima member of staff is passionate about achieving this aim; from our office-based teams, through to our directly employed workforce.
The way that we operate and manage our projects to provide exceptional product quality and service is defined within our Business Management System (BMS). This is simply a framework within which we work, which is then tailored to suit each of our client’s individual needs. This process ensures that every project is managed in the most effective, proactive and specifically tailored way possible.
Procedures outlined in this BMS describe a typical project lifecycle at Optima; from receipt of initial enquiry right through to project handover. Our BMS works to outline design, procurement, health and safety and quality management tasks, including the processes of internal audit and other mechanisms for quality and business improvement.

Product quality is intrinsic to the success of Optima. Consequently, we are constantly testing and retesting for “fit for purpose” quality at procedural, system and process levels.

At Optima, being a product manufacturing company, we are conscious of our impact on the world around us. We are proud to say that we are a responsible company and actively work to present innovative solutions to counteract any negative impacts that our activities might have on the environment.
We continually seek to use the most environmentally sustainable products possible, whilst ensuring that we track our environmental impact.
We source and work with like-minded suppliers and maintain our own Sustainability Register that satisfies BREEAM, LEED and SKA requirements.
Part of our commitment to designing and installing products that meet the highest environmental standards means that all Optima systems must be BREEAM rated.
BREEAM is the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method, which is the world’s longest established method of assessing, rating and certifying the sustainability of buildings. This means that all Optima products carry assured sustainability accreditations and consequently won’t affect any building’s current Sustainability Ratings.
At Optima, we have installed a three-point initiative to ensure that every aspect of our design, manufacturing and installation processes is environmentally considerate:
